Scam
In general: I went on line to find a nice CLEAN beachfront hotel that was pet friendly. That's how I found TROPICAL SEAS HOTEL in Myrtle Beach.The pics on line were beautiful. I was thrilled . I booked my family for August 17th- August 22nd. 2019. We arrived today August 17th 2019 to a TOTALLY DISGUSTING hotel . This place smelled like cigarettes, urine and mold. I was supposed to get a ocean view room and it was an inside room with NO WINDOW AT ALL. It was filthy , the walls in the elevator I would not lean against if I were having a stroke and needed to hold on . The floors are concrete and absolutely filthy, paint peeling . I do not have enough words to describe how FILTHY this place is. I can not believe they use the photos that they do. I felt I was in a third world country. If you love you family or pets DO NOT take them there. If you hate them, drop them off in the front lobby!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only good thing was the manager refunded my money on the spot!!!! I think she was embarrassed as I showed her the pics that they use on line.... The owner should be forced to stay there and use the facilities. Location and surroundings: The ocean is beautiful Service: The manager refunded me in the spot! Dining: I would starve before I ate off of anything in that building. Room: ABSOLUTE FILTH. Health dept should be contacted. Useful tips: RUN FAR AWAY!!!!
